Occasionally we all find a snake in our own yards.  Now, I understand that

there is a fear of having these animals in your yard so we do our best

to help you out.  Not too long ago we were asked to come out

and relocate a couple of black rat snakes that were causing a family to

be uncomfortable in their own yard.

The plan was to remove the snake(s) and relocate them to another area.

Black Rat Snakes are common in our area, so it's not a surprise that this snake

was hanging around where this family lived.  It was a newer subdivision built

on some old land that used to have plenty of trees.  Now, as happens regularly,

we are building into the habitats of these animals.  So, coming into contact with these

animals is becoming a daily routine for many.

What we encountered when we got there was horrible.

Two black rat snakes had become entangled in some improperly discarded

mesh netting.

Please make sure to discard of your trash the way it should be:  in a can with

a lid on it.
